Carrington West are excited to offer this fantastic vacancy for an Associate with a consultancy in London.
The successful candidate will work on and be involved in managing a number of exciting, complex transport planning projects with the support of the transport team. You will have the opportunity to lead on the development and delivery of our projects with the support of the Directors. You will deliver market leading consultancy advice, necessitating a sound understanding of client requirements on projects and recognition of competing stakeholders' interests with effective resource management.
What you will need:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related subject (a master's degree in transport would be desirable) and sufficient experience at the relevant level applying for within a private consultancy or local authority environment.
We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate the following:
·Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans;
·Access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 agreements, S278 agreements and guidance such as NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines, Manual for Streets etc;
·Use of the TRICS database;
·Setting up and running PICADY's and ARCADYS;
·An understanding of LINSIG and can carry this modelling out for different scenarios, understand what they are doing and why;
·The principles of micro-simulation and strategic models/modelling;
·Junction design (priority, roundabout, signals).
·The level of knowledge and experience will be taken into account commensurate with the level of role applied for.
