Position: Assistant Estimator - Civil Engineering
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + package

We're seeking an Assistant Estimator with a passion for civil engineering, keen to grow their expertise and contribute to exciting and impactful projects.

The Role
As an Assistant Estimator, you'll be an integral part of the pre-construction team, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for civil engineering projects. Based from the Bristol office, you'll work on water infrastructure projects that shape the future of the region's critical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with senior estimators to prepare cost estimates for tenders.
·Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine project scope.
·Engage with supply chain partners to source quotations and build cost breakdowns.
·Assist in preparing risk assessments, value engineering opportunities, and project schedules.
·Maintain tender documentation and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
·Contribute to pre-bid and handover meetings, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements.
·Develop knowledge of NEC and other relevant contracts.

About You
We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional, ideally with a foundation in civil engineering and a keen interest in the estimating process.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
·HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
·Previous experience in civil engineering, ideally in a site-based or pre-construction role.
·Strong numerical and analytical skills.
·Familiarity with estimating tools and software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, or similar).
·Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Desirable Experience:
·Exposure to water infrastructure projects.
·Knowledge of NEC contracts and tendering processes.
