Assistant Engineer
 
Are you an Assistant Engineer looking for a new opportunities? Are you keen to start a career working within a busy team?
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Engineer to develop skills and gain experience in Civil / Structural Engineering. The successful candidate will be working on a range of projects and will fulfil a variety roles within the department. The role will primarily involve the design of civil and structural engineering schemes together with site supervision and project management.
The main responsibilities are below:
 
·To assist, where necessary, under the direction of the Senior Engineer in the
design of civil / highway related and structural engineering schemes.
·To assist the Senior Engineer in the site supervision of construction projects to
ensure works satisfy the requirements of the specification.
·To assist the Senior Engineer in the project management of civil
or structural engineering schemes.
·Monitor consultants and contractors performance and take appropriate corrective
action as required to minimise the risk of them failing to meet contractual
commitments, in terms of quality, quantity and timescales.
·Provide support to the Senior Design Engineer in checking of designs, drawings and
method statements and issuing approvals.
·Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD for planning applications, tender and contract drawings.
