Assistant Civil Infrastructure Engineer
Our client is looking for an Assistant Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol. The experienced civil and structural engineering team works on a wide range of projects across the South West and throughout the UK, guided by an ethos of collaboration, integrity, technical excellence, and client-focused delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer with some industry experience to take the next step in their career. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality infrastructure designs and play an active role in the successful delivery of development and infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities of the role:
·Assist in the design of highways, drainage, and external works for development infrastructure projects.
·Support the preparation of design drawings, calculations, and technical reports in accordance with industry standards.
·Contribute to the delivery of adoptable works (Section 104, 106, and 278 agreements).
·Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
·Liaise with clients, local authorities, and external stakeholders under the guidance of senior engineers.
·Undertake site visits, surveys, and inspections where required.
·Continue developing technical and professional skills, working towards professional registration with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
About you:
·A degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
·Around 1-3 years' experience within a UK consultancy or similar environment.
·Some knowledge of design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or Causeway Flow), and AutoCAD.
·A proactive attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in infrastructure design.
·Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
·Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
