Join a leading UK infrastructure organisation and help shape the future of drainage management across the Southern Region. We're looking for an experienced Asset Engineer (Drainage) to drive inspection, maintenance, and renewal of drainage assets across Kent and Sussex.
 
You'll bring a strong mix of technical knowledge and practical site experience, ensuring drainage systems remain safe, compliant, and reliable.
 
Responsibilities:
·Lead and coordinate drainage inspection, evaluation, and renewal programmes.
·Develop drainage management and investment plans for the route.
·Support business cases and sponsor renewal projects.
·Maintain accurate drainage records and monitor asset condition.
·Provide expert drainage advice across departments and external stakeholders.
·Represent the Route Asset Manager in drainage and water management forums.
 
Experience and qualifications required:
·HNC/HND (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
·Several years' experience in drainage or hydrology.
·Proven background in infrastructure drainage inspection, maintenance & repair.
·Knowledge of drainage standards, safety systems & CDM regulations.
·PTS and H&S competencies required.
