Role: 3D CAD Technician - Civil/Structural
Location: Manchester/Cheshire
Rate: £40 p/h Umbrella
Duration: 6 - 12 Months
Primary Software: Revit
 
Are you a CAD Technician with experience in the Water and Utilities sector?
Have you been involved in Civil/Structural design for large construction projects?
 
Carrington West are representing an international consultancy, Who are in an exciting stage of growth and increase in market share in the UK, especially across the UK's water sector. Alongside other positions, we are searching for a 3D Cad Technician well versed in Revit & AutoCAD.
 
My client in question has contracts supporting Water Utility companies and Design & build contractors attached to the AMP7 frameworks for Severn Trent, United Utilities and Yorkshire Water. A lot of these contracts are relatively new hence the need for a boost in design staff across their fleet.
 
The successful Revit Technician, who is proficient in the use of Revit products for design and drafting, will be supporting an established team develop design's from initial conception to large scale development on clean and waste water treatment plants across the above mentioned frameworks.
 
This position should stand out from the crowd due to the nature of the consultancies success with complex Civil & MEICA design projects, working on a range of projects with a team from a very diverse experience to learn from and work alongside.
 
This role is for candidates with at least 5 years structural design experience for the above mentioned sectors, for £40 p/h and the position will be open to hybrid working, meaning you can work up to 3 days per week from home.
 
Key Skills 
·Competent use of Revit & AutoCAD
·Detailing experience preferred but not essential
·Experience in a range on different projects across the Water and Utilities Sectors
·Excellent communication skills being comfortable with a client-facing role, coordinating and attending meetings to represent the business
·Excellent coordination skills to work with architects and other principal consultants to ensure the right design solution
·Able to work autonomously with a requirement to only report back on progress
·Knowledge and experience with BIM process.
