My client have a modern office based on the outskirts of Stevenage. They are a Plant and Fleet solutions company that support the Water, Gas, power, Construction, Telecom and Highways industries. They are offering a great opportunity to join a small team that have a great work ethic and work excellently as a team.
 
You will be part of the Plant & Fleet team who are responsible for the repair and the service / maintenance of the company's Plant and fleet. This includes HGV's & LGV's.
 
As the Yard Person your main duties & responsibilities will be:
Ensure the yard area is kept clean and tidy.
Ensure yard parking of plant & vehicles are parked in safe working locations.
Steam cleaning of plant & vehicles as required. Painting plant,
Working with the workshop staff the movement of plant.
Facilitating of 3rd party working on site by service providers.
Control of external collections and deliveries within the yard.
On site control of MUS contracts using yard area facility.
Day to Day communication with existing Yardpersons
Ensure that all MGroup Services Plant & Fleet Solutions `Safely, Healthy, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures are adhered to, adopting a safe method of working at all times.
 
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- The usage of steam cleaning equipment.
- Experience in a similar role
- Good level of education.
- Driving licence essential
- Fork Lift Licence -3 ton (Counter Balance)- Certification required
- Excellent Communicator
- Yard day to day marshalling and control
