Tree Inspector/ Arb Inspector
 
Are you an experienced Arb Inspector looking for a new role?
 
I am recruiting for X4 Arb Inspectors on a contract basis in the Somerset area.
 
·Relevant experience within a Highways service environment, particularly Highway trees
·Relevant experience working in an Arboricultural field
·Experience in tree surgery operations
·Competent in tree condition assessment, such as Visual Tree Assessment (VTA)
·Proven knowledge and significant practical experience of tree identification and pathology
·Proven experience of specifying remedial tree work in accordance with BS3998 2010: Tree Work Recommendations
·Computer literate, able to use MS Office and other typical general office packages, and specialist tree related software packages, including GIS or similar mapping package. Knowledge & experience of the Confirm (WAMS) system. IT capability - ability to be able to collect and record field data on site using tablets, provided by SCC for both urban and rural tree inspections
·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to communicate effectively and manage customer expectations, at all levels with internal and external stakeholders and members of the public in difficult circumstances. Skill sets to manage information and communicate with a variety of stakeholders, with differing agendas.
·Ability to explain complex and technical matters in a friendly, tactful, and understandable manner
·Ability to speak fluent English as stated in Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)
