Transport Project Manager

Full time - 37 hours per week

6-month contract (minimum)

£320 - £350 per hour, Inside IR35
 

Are you an experienced Transport Project Manager looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking a Project Manager with experience in transport schemes to join them on a contract basis, initially for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
 
1.To lead the development and implementation of transport strategies, projects and technical studies covering a range of thematic work streams including the implementation of future mobility strategy, freight and logistics strategy, and the development of a regional active travel strategy, ensuring that any applicable national and locally set performance management targets are met.
2.To implement best practice project management techniques and systems, develop project timetables, monitor progress and ensure delivery of projects to timescale and budget.
3.To identify, assess, define and develop projects and studies that support the implementation of the Transport Strategy and Strategic Investment Plan.   
4.To assist with the input to Department for Transport (DfT) policy work, and the investment programmes developed by national delivery bodies such as National Highways and Network Rail.
5.To lead on responses to government and key stakeholders consultations on transport matters at regional and national level.
 
What is required?
 
·As the successful candidate, you will have extensive project management experience
 
·You will have great stakeholder management skills.
