Job description

Transport Planner
I'm partnering with a well-established transport & highways consultancy who are looking for a Transport Planner to join their Fleet office. With existing teams delivering development transport planning, S278/38 highways design, drainage input and environmental planning, they're now looking to add an experienced Transport Planner to help shape and grow the Fleet presence.
You'll join a supportive, collaborative team that invests in professional development through structured training, mentorship and genuine progression opportunities.
The role
·Lead and contribute to Transport Assessments and Transport Statements.
·Produce and coordinate Travel Plans.
·Prepare and present technical data, drawings and clear written reports.
·Undertake junction capacity assessments (ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG).
·Liaise with clients, contractors and local/national authorities.
·Plan workloads to hit deadlines and budgets.
·Review/check work of junior colleagues and coach them to build capability.
·Support Team Leaders from early feasibility through to delivery.
·Carry out site visits, scope/design surveys and feed findings into reports and presentations.
·Keep electronic/paper project files accurate and up to date.
·Play an active role in establishing and growing the Birmingham office.
What you'll need
Education/Experience
·Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or similar.
·2-5 years' UK development transport planning experience.
·Working towards or holding MCIHT (desirable).
 
Technical
·Strong Microsoft Office skills and confident with spreadsheets.
·Working knowledge of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.
·AutoCAD exposure is a plus.
