Project Manager


An experienced Project Manager is required to lead the delivery of a high-profile civil engineering and infrastructure extension scheme. This client-side role will take full responsibility for programme, budget, procurement and stakeholder management through ECI and construction phases.


Key Responsibilities
·Lead full lifecycle delivery of a multi-million civil engineering infrastructure project (£100k-£5m range).
·Act as Client-side Project Manager overseeing consultants, contractors and multi-disciplinary teams.
·Manage NEC3/NEC4 Engineering Construction Contracts and Professional Service Contracts.
·Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans, risk registers and stage-gate reporting.
·Oversee procurement strategy, tender evaluation, contract documentation and value management.
·Manage ECI Stage 1 & 2 delivery and contractor performance.
·Maintain financial control including cashflow forecasting, budget monitoring and final account oversight.
·Prepare business cases and financial appraisals in line with HM Treasury Green Book principles.
·Coordinate statutory approvals, stakeholder engagement and external agency liaison.
·Ensure delivery to time, cost and quality with minimal disruption to operational environments.


Requirements
·Degree qualified in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, Surveying or related discipline.
·Chartered or Incorporated Member of a recognised professional body (ICE, IStructE, RICS, APM or equivalent).
·Strong experience delivering drainage, highways or civil infrastructure projects.
·Demonstrable experience managing regeneration or infrastructure capital schemes.
·Extensive knowledge of NEC contracts and public sector procurement processes.
·Strong commercial acumen with experience managing interdependent contracts.
·Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants.
·Advanced Microsoft Project and MS Office capability.
