Transport Planner
 
Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Odiham, the Hart district of Hampshire.
Our client is an independent consultancy, based in Odiham, who pride themselves on providing a focused, reliable, and speedy service. The team is made up of highly experienced professionals offering a full range of highway, transport planning and drainage advise throughout the UK.
The role offers the opportunity for an enthusiastic Transport Planner to join an expanding team, with involvement in a variety of diverse transport related projects, from small residential schemes to large mixed-use developments.
 
Responsibilities of the role:
·The use of Junctions software (ARCADY and PICADY).
·Obtaining, analysing and interpreting traffic data.
·Reviewing development sites with regard to their accessibility by a range of transport modes.
·Preparation of Transport Assessments/Statements and Travel Plans.
·Undertaking junction capacity assessments using industry standard software such as Junctions 9 and LinSig.
·Undertaking site visits.
 
Requirements of the role:
·Experience in the field of development transport planning.
·A member (or seeking to be) of a professional membership, such as CIHT or ICE.
·Accuracy and good attention to detail.
·High standard of work ethic and ability to use initiative.
·A formal education in either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning.
