Job description

My client is now looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic transport planner at a relatively early stage in their career to join our team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with some specialist knowledge of transport for development. Importantly you should have experience of supporting the delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans to support planning applications and other transport related projects.  You will be given the opportunity to accelerate your career by working alongside industry experts, within an inclusive and caring company environment.
 
They expect the right candidate to be experienced in:
 
·Contributing to the transport aspects of development planning projects
·Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and local authorities
·Undertaking technical aspects of Transport Assessments and Statements
·Preparing fee proposals for new projects.
·Contributing to other projects across the advisory group as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
 
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to communicate well.
·Good technical writing skills and a sound working competence in the use of MS Office products (including Excel and Word).
·Ability to work effectively within a project team and to deliver projects to scope and budget
·The ability to manage personal time on projects to budget
·A degree in an analytical subject such as engineering, geography, mathematics or similar.
