Highway Engineer (Traffic/Active Travel)

Job Description
The Transportation team have a vacancy for an Active Travel / Highway Engineer working with the Birmingham City Centre office. Fully flexible working/working from home available. As an Engineer, you will form part of a project team on small to large projects. In doing so you will support the contract commitments whilst ensuring the designs are produced to a high quality and in accordance with all relevant standards and guidance.
The team provides concept, preliminary and detailed design and network modelling services on a wide range of projects for local authorities and contractors plus supports other AECOM business lines where their projects have a specialised traffic and highways interface. You will be joining a growing team that is actively involved in the delivery of projects and service

West Midlands Combined Authority / Transport for West Midlands Wolverhampton City Council Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council Coventry City Council Oxfordshire County Council
Qualifications
·Knowledge of relevant design and safety standards (e.g. DMRB, TSRGD, MCHW, Manual for Streets, CDM Regulations).
·Ability to Undertake Health & Safety duties
·Experience in the design of highway engineering and local transport schemes, including preparation of design drawings, reports, and technical notes
·3D Design (Civils 3D)Drainage design Preferred
