Traffic Engineer
 
Are you an experienced Traffic Engineer looking for their next contract assignment?
 
My client based in the Bristol area is looking for a Traffic Engineer on an initial 6-month contract.
 
The main responsibilities of the role are
 
·Design or supervise the design of major highways and junction improvement schemes including drainage design.
·Prepare or supervise the preparation of TRO drawings and associated traffic sign drawings in accordance with national and council standards;
·Liaise with in-house teams as part of the design process to obtain designs for street furniture such as street lighting and traffic signals;
·Liaise with Statutory Undertakers to obtain and arrange diversion/protection of utility apparatus.
·Carry out consultation, liaise with members of the public, councillors and others as well as our Legal Section to advertise the TROs and prepare objection reports for presentation to the Director of Environment and Community Services;
·Prepare construction information, including relevant Health and Safety documents in accordance with the CDM Regulations for works to be implemented by our in-house contractor;
