As a Town Planner you will be at the forefront of planning and shaping London's dynamic urban landscape. Your responsibilities will include:
·Collaborating with project teams to develop and deliver comprehensive planning strategies for a range of projects, from inception to completion.
·Conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments to ensure compliance with local regulations and policies.
·Preparing and submitting planning applications, including negotiating with local authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals.
·Providing expert advice on planning policies, guidelines, and best practices to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
·Engaging in community consultations and public meetings to address concerns and incorporate valuable feedback into development plans.
·Monitoring and evaluating planning applications, identifying potential issues, and proposing necessary adjustments to achieve successful outcomes.
·Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, legislation, and policy changes, and applying this knowledge to enhance the quality and sustainability of our projects.
·A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Town Planning, Urban Design, or a related field.
·Proven experience as a Town Planner in the UK, with a focus on London or similar urban environments.
·In-depth knowledge of the UK planning system, policies, and regulations.
·Strong understanding of sustainable development principles and urban design concepts.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, authorities, and community stakeholders.
·Proficiency in relevant software and technologies commonly used in town planning (e.g., CAD, GIS).
·Membership or eligibility for membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
