Do you have experience working on Rail or Light Rail projects?

My client is a European engineering company that is growing their presence in the UK. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration Manager to join their Birmingham team to provide technical leadership in the Systems Integration discipline, and could include working on projects internationally.
This role will involve being a line manager to a team of 4/5 people. The team is currently working on a light rail project and this role will also take a lead in managing the project's Systems design Team which comprises the following sub-systems: OLEt, Signalling, Power Supply, LV, EMC, Telecoms and SCADA).

Location: Birmingham, hybrid working.
Salary: £70,000 to £85,000 per year (based on experience).
Start: January preferred, this date can be pushed back to allow for longer notice periods.

Required:

  • Demonstrable experience managing/leading project teams.
  • 8 to 10 years' post-graduate experience on system engineering projects.
  • Rail experience essential, light rail project experience highly advantageous.
  • High level of technical knowledge around Systems Integration
  • Design/consultancy experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Right to work in UK.
