Job Title: Junior Surfacing Supervisor
Salary: Up to £45,000
Location: Reading
 
Responsibilities:
 
- Take charge of surfacing projects, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Utilize their expertise in black top surfacing to effectively lead the project team.
- Collaborate closely with the workforce, providing guidance and support to team members, especially those with less experience.
- Identify and nurture potential talent within the team, displaying a willingness to mentor and train them.
- Travel frequently to various project sites, as the role entails a high degree of mobility across different locations.
- Conduct face-to-face interviews to evaluate potential candidates, employing a two-stage interview process when necessary.
- Contribute to the company's expansion efforts by ensuring the successful delivery of surfacing projects.
 
Requirements:
 
- Experience in the highways industry, with a particular focus on surfacing projects.
- Understanding of black top surfacing processes and techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and clients.
- A full, clean driving license is required.
