Carrington West are working with our esteemed client as part of there ongoing efforts to improve the quality of our roads and surfaces, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Surfacing Supervisor to join on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage surfacing projects within the local authority, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
·Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to schedule work activities and allocate resources efficiently.
·Conduct site inspections to assess progress, quality, and adherence to safety regulations.
·Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved in surfacing projects.
·Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review project plans, specifications, and technical requirements.
·Provide leadership and guidance to surfacing crews, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during project execution.
·Prepare reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements:
·Proven experience in a supervisory role within the surfacing or construction industry, preferably within a local authority setting.
·Extensive knowledge of surfacing techniques, materials, and equipment.
·Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with contractors, colleagues, and stakeholders.
·Proficient in project management software and tools.
·Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites within the local authority area.
·Relevant qualifications/certifications in construction management or a related field are desirable.
