Sub Agent - Highways

I'm working with a leading highways contractor who is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery phase of a major highways project in Northamptonshire.

This role will suit a Sub Agent with strong site leadership, technical capability, and a proven background in managing highways and earthworks packages while ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

The Role
·Support the Agent and Project Manager in the day-to-day delivery of highways works
·Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient construction
·Oversee highways and earthworks activities in line with specifications and programme
·Ensure implementation of RAMS, ITPs, and quality requirements
·Coordinate short-term planning including daily activities and look-ahead programmes
·Manage interfaces with design teams, clients, and stakeholders
·Monitor progress, quality, and safety, addressing issues proactively
·Support commercial and programme reporting as required

Essential Requirements
·Proven experience working as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer on highways projects
·Strong background in highways and earthworks (essential)
·Experience managing site delivery, subcontractors, and engineering teams
·Sound understanding of health & safety, quality, and environmental controls
·Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
·SMSTS and CSCS (required)
