If you enjoy being on site, leading crews and working closely with councils to keep schemes moving efficiently, this Streetworks Supervisor position offers responsibility, stability and long-term opportunity.

A role you'll be proud to be part of
You will be joining my client, an established highways contractor delivering surfacing and maintenance works for local authorities across Surrey and the South East. The business has a strong reputation for collaborative working with councils, high standards of workmanship and a practical, site-led culture where supervisors are trusted to lead delivery.

What you will be doing day to day
As a Streetworks Supervisor, you will be embedded within the delivery team and responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of surfacing works. Your responsibilities will include:
· You will be supervising surfacing gangs on live highways works
· You will be coordinating daily activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
· You will be managing streetworks compliance, permits and traffic management in line with local authority requirements
· You will be acting as the main point of contact on site for local authority inspectors and stakeholders
· You will be carrying out site inspections and quality checks on surfacing works
· You will be ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained at all times
· You will be supporting planning of works, materials and labour to maximise productivity
· You will be maintaining accurate site records, permits and daily reports

What you'll need to bring
To succeed as a Streetworks Supervisor, you will ideally have:
· Proven experience supervising highways surfacing works
· Experience working on local authority highways contracts
· A good understanding of NRSWA, permits and traffic management requirements
· SSSTS or SMSTS (or working towards)
· Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with local authority representatives
· A proactive, solutions-focused approach to site supervision

Salary and benefits
· Salary up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
· Long-term stability on local authority highways works
· A role where your site knowledge and judgement are valued
· Supportive management and clear processes

Location, working pattern and progression
· Based in Dorking, supporting local authority works in the surrounding area
· Predominantly site-based role
· Opportunity to progress into Senior Supervisor or wider operational roles as the business grows
This role is ideal if you are a Streetworks Supervisor with a strong surfacing background who enjoys working closely with local authorities and taking pride in delivering high-quality highways works.
