What we need:
An experienced Street Lighting Design Engineer for remote working on design and delivery for a busy local authority.
 
Working arrangement:
Remote Working with 1 day per month on a Monday or Thursday, in the area for site visits or meetings (when the office reopens)
 
Hours of work :  37hrs per week. Working days remotely to include Mondays and Thursdays.
 
What will you need to succeed:
·Recent & relevant experience in the design and construction of street lighting on highway and related projects.
·Professional status - Ideally applicants ought to have Associate membership of the ILP for checking and approval but for Engineer working towards Associate membership (in order to meet the necessary engineering competency requirements)
·Ability to design highway projects to programme and cost with minimal supervision.
·Ability to use Lighting Reality . 
·Ability to use Amtech ProDesign 4  
·Good Communication Skills
·G39/1 Code of practice training has been undertaken and is up to date
·Relevant and in date CSCS Card
The successful candidate will be able to plan and organise their own workload working on their own initiative with minimal supervision.  Will support a Principal and a Senior Lighting Engineer to undertake Lighting design as required , to provide support to site teams during the build phases.  On completion will aid the accrual of the lighting and handover to the asset owner.   
The candidate will be required to provide their own computer compatible with Office 365 . Microsoft Teams and loaded with Lighting Reality and Amtech ProDesign 4.  AutoCAD is desirable but CAD is done by others, and we share PDF copies of drawings at review stage, so a CAD viewer (DWG True view or equivalent ) will be sufficient.    
We will provide a hybrid computer for access to Hampshire data via Office 365, internal intranet and for time sheet entry .  IT security prevents full access from a private computer.  Candidate will still however need the technical machine to undertake lighting designs as applicable.
