Job Role - Spares and Obsolescence Support
 
Location - Cumbria
 
Contract Length - 12 Months
 
Pay Rate - £23.70 Umbrella/£17.60 PAYE
 
This role will require the candidate to have BPSS clearance. The role requires the ability and willingness to engage verbally and in writing with the plant-based demand community and external suppliers to clarify, advise and assist in resolving queries relating to matters both practical and procedural.
 
Desirable skills  
·On-plant experience within an industrial engineering or maintenance role
·Demonstrate knowledge of the preparation and management of the facility spares lists.
·Demonstrate knowledge of procurement routes and frameworks
·Demonstrate knowledge of the graded approach to procurement
·Spares and obsolescence management experience in a highly regulated environment
·Proficient in SAP workflow processes (materials, where used and technical queries)
·Trained and experienced demand specifier/material demander
·Proficient in the use of company standard IT, Specifically Microsoft excel and word.
·Proficient in the use of verbal proactive obsolescence management system (POMS).
·Good written and verbal communication skills.
 
 
Essential Skills
·HNC qualified engineer (or equivalent demonstrable experience), with relevant engineering  or commercial experience within the field or engineering spares and obsolescence management
·Proficient in Cimage, SAMdB and Maintenace Qlikview (or Movex/CMMS) applications.
·Team player, who can work flexibly as part of an enterprise-wide support function.
·Proven ability and experience in the creation of specifications relevant to the procurement of goods in support of maintenance and engineering deliverables.
·Demonstrate experience In the resolution of complex technical issues associated with the supply of goods.
·Demonstrate experience in the identification and management of obselence issues.
·Questioning attitude with respect to gathering and using engineering data and systems/information
·Ability to interpret/understand engineering standards, specifications and drawings.
