Job description
Are you an SMTH Team Leader with strong understanding of Network Rail standards and procedures?
Salary: £50,000+ DOE
Package: Company van + fuel card (negotiable for the right candidate)
Location: North West of England
A signalling contractor is currently recruiting for an experienced SMTH Team Leader to join it's team delivering a range of works as part of a CP7 framework.
The role will involve leading signalling maintenance and testing activities within a live rail environment, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with Network Rail standards. You will be responsible for supervising teams on site, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring all planned and reactive works are completed efficiently.
This is an urgent requirement, with interviews taking place as soon as CVs are received. The successful candidate could be mobilised immediately, although notice periods will be considered. This position would particularly suit someone currently working directly for Network Rail or within a framework environment who is looking for a fresh opportunity. Direct Network Rail experience is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise SMTH activities across the NW&C PWay framework.
- Deliver signalling maintenance and testing works in accordance with Network Rail standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements within live rail environments.
- Manage and coordinate on-site teams to meet programme and performance targets.
- Liaise with Network Rail representatives and internal management to ensure smooth delivery of works.
- Support planning of weekend possessions and ensure safe execution of works.
Essential:
- Extensive signalling experience (exceptional candidates with slightly less experience will be considered).
- Proven experience in an SMTH or senior signalling role.
- Strong understanding of Network Rail standards and procedures.
- Experience working within a framework delivery model.
- Valid Sentinel competencies relevant to signalling.
- Full UK driving licence.
