Site Engineer - Water / Utilities (Developer Services)
Up to £28 per hour - Temp-to-Perm - Long-Term Project
Location: Didcot/ Oxford areas.
Start: ASAP
Are you a Site Engineer with experience in water infrastructure and civil engineering projects?
Our client, a leading utilities contractor who have a long-term programme of water infrastructure upgrades, are now seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join their Developer Services team, which plays a key role in enabling new developments to access vital water and wastewater services.
The Developer Services team is responsible for connecting water and wastewater services, installing lateral drains, and ensuring infrastructure is in place to support residential and commercial growth across the region.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering stability and the potential to become a permanent fixture in a growing, high-performing delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying works in line with project specifications
- Ensuring quality compliance and technical accuracy on site
- Managing site documentation, including daily diaries and progress records
- Supporting resolution of site issues and design changes
- Producing as-built drawings and sketches
- Conducting SHE6 audits and recording site safety observations
- Preparing regular progress reports for the Project Manager
Ideal Experience:
Strong civil engineering background in the water sector
Competent in setting out and site supervision
Experience with water mains, lateral connections, ACDs, T&I plans, and QA systems
Proficient in CAD and technical report writing
Familiar with industry standards and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
CSCS Card (Desirable)
First Aid / SMSTS / CAT & Genny (beneficial)
