Civils & Infrastructure
Exmouth, Devon
£70,000 to £85,000 per annum + benefits
Permanent, Full-Time
Are you a Project Manager looking to take ownership of meaningful civil engineering schemes in the South West? Or perhaps a Senior Project Manager with experience in infrastructure delivery, ready to step into a leadership role that gives you real influence?
We're representing a highly respected regional civil engineering contractor seeking a driven and capable Project Manager to join their operations team. With a strong order book of highways, infrastructure, and public realm works, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead projects that make a difference to communities across Devon.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you'll be entrusted with end-to-end delivery of complex projects. Senior Project Managers will take the lead on the more technically demanding or higher-value schemes. You'll lead project planning, site teams, subcontractors, and client liaison from start to finish.
Responsibilities include:
·Full responsibility for project lifecycle management, from tender handover through to project close-out and defects
·Acting as the key Project Manager for all site-based activities, ensuring programmes are maintained and commercial targets hit
·Leading project teams and subcontractors with clarity, confidence and direction
·Liaising closely with clients to maintain positive working relationships and meet project expectations
·Working with commercial teams to manage forecasting, costs, risks and opportunities
·Driving health & safety standards and ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed
·Promoting the business as a respected Project Manager and ambassador at external meetings and site visits
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a Project Manager with:
·A proven background delivering civil engineering or infrastructure schemes (e.g. highways, drainage, structures, public realm)
·Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
·Experience with NEC contracts and programme management
·A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
·The ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams on live construction projects
Whether you're already a Senior Project Manager, or an experienced Project Manager ready to take the next step, we'd love to hear from you.
Why Join?
·Join a contractor that genuinely invests in its people and promotes from within
·Lead important projects that improve local infrastructure and benefit communities
·Be the Project Manager driving delivery, not just managing processes
·Work within a collaborative and values-driven environment
·Competitive salary and package (£70-85k) + long-term stability
