Job description
Structures Site Engineer required for major highways improvement taking place in the Gloucester area for a national highways contractor.
This role will be delivered across Night shifts.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a significant infrastructure project, focusing on the construction of new carriageways and various structures. The successful candidate will be involved in quality assurance, inspection, and coordination with subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications and standards.
·Conduct inspections and supervise subcontractors to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
·Liaise with subcontractors to coordinate work and resolve any technical issues.
·Perform checks on temporary works and ensure compliance with designs.
·Utilize CAD and other technical tools for project planning and execution.
·Engage in material approvals and ensure the correct materials are used as per project requirements.
·Participate in the preparation and review of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
·Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on site.
Requirements:
·Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within large infrastructure projects.
·Familiarity with CAD and civil engineering software.
·Understanding of temporary works and quality control processes.
·Experience with ITPs and material approval processes.
·Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors and project managers.
·Proficiency in using surveying equipment and conducting site checks.
You will need to be a degree qualified Site Engineer (Civils background), alongside holding a CSCS Card.
