Job description
We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer for a Highways project in the Ashford, Kent area. This role requires night shift work.
Main Duties:
·Reporting progress to senior management and maintaining a diary of completed works.
·Conducting toolbox talks and HSEQ briefings.
·Identifying and raising any technical issues.
·Supervising work gangs to ensure compliance with design specifications.
·Conducting pre-start site inspections.
·Organizing plant and materials.
·Writing risk assessments.
Essential Skills:
·Proficiency in using GPS and Leica robotic total station for setting out.
·Experience in road construction and materials.
·Knowledge of crossfalls and cambers in road construction.
·Ability to manage block ups and dips for setting out and record-keeping.
·Experience with AutoCAD.
·Strong problem-solving skills.
·Familiarity with working alongside contractors such as asphalt layers, planers, and white liners.
·Experience in recording concrete pours.
Desirable Skills:
·Proficiency in using Trimble Korec system.
·Experience with Setting Out
