Site Agent / Supervisor - Pipelines

Carrington West are pleased to present an exciting new opportunity working for our client, a large civil contractor in the Utilities and Oil & Gas industry. They are specialists in pipeline Design, Build, Repair, Maintenance and Diversions. They have several large contracts in the industry working for Gas companies, Oil companies and on refineries.

They work on specialist high pressure pipelines within airports among other specialist areas. They are currently looking for a Site Foreman / Supervisor to work on several projects across the UK. The role will involve some work from their offices in the Sussex/Surrey area, but the successful candidate must be prepared to travel and stay away as required.

The projects you will be working on are MOD pipelines and Oil pipelines running to airports.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering background within the Oil & Gas, Pipeline or Utilities industry. You must have the ability to work on below ground and above ground pipelines as well as manage a civils team in the sector. A key factor for any successful candidate will be experience in setting out and surveying and a good working knowledge of AutoCAD. Previous involvement in heavy civils such as concrete and drainage would be desirable

This is a permanent position and offers the opportunity to gain skills in a unique industry and gain industry skills and qualifications such as Manual Handing expertise, First Aid at work, Gas passport and CSCS Gold certification among others if not already held.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• CSCS Card
• Supervisory / Foreman experience
• CPCS Blue (or NPORS with 5 years experience) above and below 10ton (Desirable)
• EUSR - Gas Passport (Desirable)
