Are you a Strategic Transport Manager looking for a new challenge?

Our client is an ambitious local authority who are seeking a Senior Service Manager with experience in transport strategy and sustainability.
 
Your key responsibilities:
 
·To be responsible for the development and delivery of the Council's Transport Strategy and Sustainability service at both an operational and strategic level with the array of different functions and responsibilities. To be the Council's expert advisor in relation to these functions and related policy.
·To make a proactive contribution to the overall management, development and reputation of the Division, the Department, and the Council, taking a lead role on cross service initiatives and deputising for the Head of Service as required.
·To provide expert advice to the Leader of the Council, Cabinet Members, Senior Management Team, Partners and Stakeholders for the Division.
·To be responsible for the identification, and submission of robust bid proposals and secure funding from partners, external bodies, government agencies or major developers.
 
What is required?
·As the successful candidate, you will have experience of working in a local authority at a similar level and Transport Planning/Strategy background, preferably, within a local authority setting.
