Senior Transport Planner (Development Planning)
Manchester

My client is offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering schemes across the Northwest, with clear progression and real responsibility from day one.
 
This Senior Transport Planner role is ideal if you enjoy managing projects, engaging with clients and delivering robust development planning advice within a collaborative consultancy environment.
 
My client is a well-regarded transport planning consultancy with an established presence in development planning. Supporting residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes nationwide, their Manchester team is continuing to grow. This Senior Transport Planner position will see you becoming an integral part of that expansion.
 
In this Senior Transport Planner role, you will be:
·Managing development planning projects from initial feasibility through to approval
·Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
·Undertaking junction modelling and technical analysis
·Liaising with local authorities and key stakeholders to negotiate outcomes
·Attending client and design team meetings
·Supporting and mentoring graduate and consultant-level staff
·Contributing to fee proposals and business development activities
 
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will combine hands-on technical delivery with increasing project leadership responsibility.
 
To be successful in this Senior Transport Planner role, you will demonstrate:
·Proven experience within development planning transport consultancy
·Strong technical capability in Transport Assessments and modelling software
·Experience negotiating with local authorities
·Project coordination and client-facing experience
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Progress towards Chartership or a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
 
Salary for this Senior Transport Planner role is £45,000-£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
