Job description

My client has over 35 years of knowledge and sector experience. The team have secured planning permission for a huge variety of projects, from small factory extensions, new hospitals, schools, residential developments and major regeneration project.
 
The team near gatwick have a new opportunity in their growing team. This is an ideal role for a Transport Planner who is looking for a challenge, willing to take on a variety of projects, liaise with clients and have an opportunity to develop within a successful and growing transport planning team.
 
As a Senior Planner / Associate you will be expected to lead small to medium projects from inception to completion, support Directors in major schemes across the South East, attend client meetings, liaise with external consultants and the multi-disciplinary team and train the Graduate Transport Planners.
 
Applicants should ideally:
·Have around four to five years' experience as a Transport Planner in either the public or private sectors;
·Have experience in preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel plans;
·Have knowledge / experience of the relevant software packages: TEMPro, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, TRICS and Excel;
·Have a knowledge of, and ideally some experience of, AutoCAD, the relevant design standards (DMRB, MfS etc.) and swept path analysis;
·Have a Masters degree in Transport Planning (desirable but not essential);
·Be a member of a relevant professional body e.g. CIHT, CILT (desirable but not essential); and
·Have a full clean driving licence.
