Senior Traffic Engineer
We are recruiting on behalf of our client in London for an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join their Highways Services team on a contract basis.
 
Key Responsibilities
·Deliver traffic and highway schemes from feasibility and concept through to implementation and completion.
·Prepare detailed designs, AutoCAD drawings, and technical reports.
·Raise works orders and manage project delivery against programme targets.
·Supervise contractors and consultants on site to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.
·Manage project budgets, process invoices, and monitor financial performance.
·Ensure schemes meet legislative requirements, TfL standards, and local authority policies.
·Support delivery of Traffic, Parking, Transport, and Highway improvement programmes.
·Provide technical advice to internal stakeholders and external partners.
·Coordinate project activities and ensure timely completion of works.

About You - Essential Requirements
·Previous experience working as a Traffic Engineer / Senior Traffic Engineer within a UK Local Authority or consultancy environment.
·Experience delivering traffic and highway schemes from design through to construction.
·Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of technical drawings and reports.
·Good knowledge of UK highway design standards, TSRGD, and TfL guidance.
·Experience managing contractors and supervising on-site works.
·Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict programme deadlines.
·Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
