Position: Senior - Associate Town Planner

A well-established and award-winning planning consultancy is seeking a Town planner from Senior to Associate to join its growing team, with opportunities based in either Exeter or Cardiff. About the Role:
As a Town Planning Consultant, you'll play a central role in delivering planning applications for a wide range of energy and clean-tech projects. You'll be leading on small to medium-sized projects and supporting senior consultants on more complex applications under the TCPA, DNS, and NSIP regimes.

This position suits someone with either:
·Chartered RTPI status and at least 2 years of experience, or
·A Licentiate Planner with at least 3 years of experience working toward full RTPI membership.

Key Responsibilities:
·Project Leadership: Manage the preparation and delivery of planning applications for small to medium-scale developments.
·Team Collaboration: Support senior colleagues on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
·Strategic Input: Contribute to planning strategies and solutions to overcome project challenges.
·Written & Verbal Communication: Produce high-quality planning reports and documentation.
·Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in client meetings and community consultations with guidance from senior staff.
·Business Development: Help grow the professional network and promote the business externally.
·Mentorship & Delegation: Supervise junior staff and ensure high standards across all project work.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
·In-depth knowledge of the UK planning system.
·Proven experience managing planning projects of varying scale.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
·Enthusiastic about the renewable energy sector and committed to sustainability.
·A proactive mindset with an eagerness to learn and progress professionally.
