Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Revit Technician with extensive experience in UK structural engineering design. You will have the chance to work on a wide variety of projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial. The role offers the potential to progress toward chartered status with TIStructE while taking on more responsibility and leadership within a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of high-quality drawings and technical information using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Produce accurate details for structural steelwork, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Deliver general arrangement drawings, sections, details, and 3D models with precision.
  • Ensure adherence to BIM protocols and project timelines, ensuring project goals are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide co-ordinated and efficient designs.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, helping to develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Provide technical guidance and lead the review of design work to maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • ONC/HNC in Building Structures or Civil Engineering (or equivalent, preferred).
  • Proven experience in a UK structural design office, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structures and AutoCAD, with a deep understanding of BIM practices.
  • Extensive RC detailing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural materials, including steelwork, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Experience with new builds, refurbishments, and extensions, and managing complex designs.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
