Are you a rail Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience working on renewals frameworks for Network Rail?
 
Do you have experience working for a Tier 1 contractor?
 
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum DOE + £6,600 car allowance or company car
Location: Normanton/Wakefield with travel to sites in the Eastern region + 1 day home working per week

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your role will involve significant time on-site, getting to the heart of the projects. You will take commercial leadership on a variety of rail renewal schemes, including earthworks, bridge renewals, and platform extensions, typically valued between £2-5 million. There is also a unique opportunity to be involved in a new £20 million battery storage project in Middlesbrough. Your day-to-day will include managing all commercial aspects of your projects and providing mentorship to junior members of the team.
 
You will be joining a leading, family-owned civil engineering contractor that is a key partner to Network Rail and is expanding significantly into the energy sector. With plans to grow regional turnover from £40 million to £60 million, this is an exciting time to become part of their journey.
 
Requirements:
·Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent
·Experience working for a contractor (preferably Tier 1) on Network Rail civils projects/frameworks such as earthworks, bridge renewals, and platform extensions
·Some experience delivering multi-disciplined energy projects for National Grid is desirable
·Experience working on NEC3 & NEC4 contracts essential, FIDIC desired
·Working knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract
·IT skills: Word, Excel, COINS , ASite , CEMAR, PowerPoint
·Experience mentoring or supervising junior commercial staff desirable
