Role: Senior M&E Project Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Location: Taunton
Start Date: ASAP
 
My client is working on the AMP 7 Framework in the Wessex Water region and has an immediate requirement for a Senior M&E Project Manager to join their team and become involved in a programme of works on various treatment projects (mostly phosphorus removal), in the Dorset & Somerset region.

Responsibilities include:
·Deliver the full project lifecycle; capable of reading and preparing drawings, writing schedules of work, liaising with consultants, overseeing design issues on site, providing technical advice for all mechanical and electrical matters, issuing RAMS and general Project Management duties.
·Overseeing Project Delivery teams.
·Ensuring project delivery within program & budget.
·Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-site.
·Active involvement in Early Contractor Involvement with the Client and their Capital Delivery Partner Consultants commenting on design proposals and supporting design reviews.
·Working alongside our Civil Delivery Partner in the joint delivery of the projects.
·Manage suppliers and sub-contractor packages such that they meet deliverables of the programme and resource projects as required in order to meet programme milestones.
·Producing, reviewing and implementing appropriate documentation including: pre-construction information, schedules of work, specifications, schematics and drawings for tender for each project.
·Prepare contract programme taking input from all disciplines and carefully planning the project to meet all interim milestones. Track, monitor and adjust this programme throughout the project lifecycle, working with the project planner.
·Co-ordinate all testing and quality check procedures including factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
·Supporting the commissioning process from the commissioning plan to the Take Over Testing through to final snagging.
·Project analysis and clear progress reporting to management as required. Input to the monthly reports on the activities of each project under your remit.
·Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
·Work closely with the Project QS on project cost procurement, analysis, appraisal and budgeting. monitor spend against Target and ensure the timely issue of all necessary EWN's and CEQ's on each project.
 
Skills and experience:
·HND/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or by experience.
·A background in delivering projects within the water/wastewater sector.
·Excellent understanding of technical drawings, schematics and specifications (in particular regarding the Water Industry).
·Extensive working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Holder of a certificate in Managing Safely for Construction Managers preferable.
·Experience of managing contracts under NEC3 (Option C in particular).
·Strong attention to details, record keeping and follow-up skills.
·Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
