We are seeking a committed and customer-focused Housing Solutions Officer to join the Housing Solutions team at a busy West London local authority. This role plays a vital part in preventing and relieving homelessness, supporting residents at risk, and reducing the Council's reliance on temporary accommodation.

You will manage a caseload of customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. You will assess, investigate, and verify applications to the Housing Register under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996, in line with the Council's Allocations Scheme. You will also assess and interview applicants under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996, determining what statutory duty, if any, is owed in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

The role involves maintaining accurate case records, delivering timely and professional decisions, and working collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies, and community stakeholders to achieve positive housing outcomes. You will also contribute to the delivery of service plans and ensure the provision of reliable data and performance information.

We are looking for a proactive, organised individual with strong knowledge of housing legislation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality public services.
