Job description

We're seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's growing team of specialists in drainage, highways, and development infrastructure. This hybrid role is based in London 3 days per week and offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects for a well-established client base, primarily consisting of major residential developers.
 
Our client delivers a wide range of infrastructure schemes, from initial feasibility and planning through detailed design to construction. Typical projects vary in scale from 50-unit developments to large sites comprising several thousand dwellings.
 
This is a long-term contract role which falls outside IR35.
 
About the Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and managing multiple projects, supporting junior engineers, and maintaining high technical and quality standards across all deliverables.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Lead the design and project management of multiple infrastructure schemes across various clients.
·Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, delegating and reviewing work to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
·Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders, prepare fee proposals, manage project delivery, and contribute to business development activities.
·Develop Concept and Detailed Drainage Strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Technical Notes, and Utilities Statements.
·Produce Levels Strategies and manage the creation of Earthworks Appraisals.
·Undertake Due Diligence Reviews to support land acquisitions.
 
You should have
 
·Significant post-graduate (or equivalent) experience in infrastructure design and delivery.
·Chartered or Incorporated status (CEng/IEng, MICE, MCIWEM) or be working towards professional accreditation.
·Proven experience in pre-planning and planning stage projects, with a solid understanding of detailed design and technical approvals (S104, S38, S278, etc).
·Advanced proficiency in MicroDrainage/Flow/Infodrainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
·Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects and support others effectively.
·A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for professional growth and development.
