What we need:
We are currently assisting our client, a leading Highways contractor based in East England, to find an experienced and available Structures Inspector to join their busy Highways maintenance department.
 
What the job is for:
The team is responsible for inspecting and assessing Highway structures. As an inspector for the business you will be responsible for visiting the various locations, making necessary checks and reporting that needs immediate or upcoming engineering attention.
It is necessary to have a good working knowledge of relevant documents in Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and relevant codes of practice.
The post holder should have experience in the inspection and maintenance of Motorway (Highways England) structures.
 
What you will need to succeed:
·Ability to demonstrate experience in Structural Inspections
·General knowledge of Engineering, Highways and transport policies and associated legislation
·Good written and verbal communication skills
·Able to work without close supervision
·Ability to keep good work records
·HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering
