Are you a health and safety professional with experience working client side on large scale infrastructure projects?
 
Have you got full lifecycle project experience working from pre-construction design stages through to installation and delivery?
 
Salary: £56,940 - £71,160 plus double matched pension up to 6% (12% employer contribution)
Location: Birmingham, 3 days in office per week, remainder from home.

There are two positions available for Senior Health and Safety Managers to work on either the systems or stations schemes for this project.
 
On the systems side you will be involved in the pre-construction design stage where you will provide health and safety assurance as well as coordinating with the 15 different stakeholders involved in the scheme. The systems scheme is currently in the design and validation stage with around 3 years left in the cycle before construction starts.
 
On the stations side you will be responsible for overseeing the works of 2 stations as well as working alongside 2 main contractors, each of which have their own supply chain and stakeholders.
 
You will be responsible for looking at both the most efficient and safest processes to complete both the design and construction of these schemes.
 
Candidates must be able to prove where they have provided health and safety assurance to the design and pre-construction stages of projects as well as coordinating with various stakeholders and managing supply chains.
 
Essential requirements:
·Chartered status (preferred), or significant in H&S leadership roles.
·Pre-construction (design stage) experience.
·Familiarity with rail systems (track, OLE, command control systems, etc.) or rail stations preferred, otherwise similar regulated environments (e.g. aviation, nuclear, defence etc.).
·NEBOSH qualification or equivalent in national safety and risk.
·Extensive experience in Health & Safety leadership, particularly in complex and regulated industries such as rail, construction, nuclear, or aviation.
·Ability to influence and engage executive and senior leadership teams, with comfortable, effective communication at the SLT (Senior Leadership Team) level.
·Excellent presentation skills and stakeholder engagement skills.
·Appreciation of ISO 45001 desirable.


This will be a one stage interview process on Teams.
