Job description
Are you a Data Entry/Admin Assistant immediately available for work?
Do you have a strong attention to detail with an ability to input data accurately?
Location: Newport (office-based, hybrid working)
Rate: £154.48 per day - based on £28,000 permanent salary equivalent
Contract Length: 3 months initial
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
A specialist M&E subcontractor is currently seeking a Data Entry Assistant to support a busy project team within the infrastructure sector. This is a temporary role created to support an increase in site staff and project activity.
Working from the Newport office, you will assist the commercial team by processing site data and supporting general administrative tasks. The role will involve collecting information from site teams, accurately inputting data into internal systems, and supporting the Quantity Surveying function with project records.
This is not a full Document Controller position, but rather a junior administrative role focused on data input and general office support. Full training will be provided on internal systems and processes.
The initial contract will be 3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension depending on workload. There may also be potential for a permanent opportunity in the future following the temporary period.
This is a great opportunity for someone with solid admin skills who is looking to gain experience supporting major infrastructure projects, with full training provided on systems and processes.
Hybrid working may be considered later in the contract, with the potential to move to 3 days in the office/2 days remote once established in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process site measures submitted by site staff and prepare information for the Quantity Surveying team.
- Accurately input project data into internal software systems (D-PRISM).
- Maintain organised records and assist with project administration tasks.
- Support the commercial and project teams with general administrative duties.
- Ensure data is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with tracking site information and maintaining project documentation where required.
Essential Experience Required:
- Previous administration or office support experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to input data accurately.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage routine administrative tasks.
- Confident working with computer systems and spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills when liaising with site and office teams.
- Reliable and able to work full-time in the office initially.
Desirable:
- Experience working within construction, infrastructure, or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with project or commercial administration processes.
