Are you an experienced Geo-Environmental Consultant in Hampshire?
Our client is seeking a Senior Geo-environmental consultant to join their team in Winchester and support their ongoing growth.
The company has a strong technical base in geo-environmental consultancy, and they are seeking a candidate to help drive forward the technical output and development of this side of the business. You will become an integral part of the company, mixing technical work with project management, mentoring and providing input to the company's strategic development.
Responsibilities:
·Preparing technical reports and reviewing the work of others;
·Managing projects including site works, stakeholders, and the development of project deliverables;
·Lead project meetings and client interactions as the Project Manager;
·Mentoring and supporting the engineering teams;
·Coordinate and support the delivery of reporting and design packages;
·Assist with tender submissions and produce detailed geo-environmental proposals.
Ideal Candidate:
·MSc or above in Environmental Geology / Science or a related subject;
·CGeol status preferred;
Technical experience to include:
·Planning, execution and supervision of site investigation works;
·Preparation of Phase 1 through Phase 5 Contaminated Land documentation;
·HazWaste Classification and waste management;
·Familiar with DoW:CoP and re-use of material in producing MMPs;
·Proficiency in statistics for land contamination, controlled waters DRA, etc.
·Awareness and experience of managing commercial risk on projects;
·Some experience or knowledge of geotechnical engineering ideal;
·Strong client-facing communication skills;
·Experience and understanding of the importance of mentoring and training junior staff.
