Job Title: Senior Estimator
 
Salary: Up to £70,000 based on experience
 
Location: Midlands, UK
 
My client are a specialised civil engineering company operating across the Midlands area, and deliver a variety of services within the Highways and Infrastructure sector across the UK for an impressive list of public and private sector clients. Due to a continuation in contract success and company expansion, they're looking for an Senior Estimator with Civil Engineering and Highways experience to join the team.
 
To be considered for the opportunity, you must have demonstrable experience of estimating within the civil engineering and highways industry, good industry knowledge, commercial capabilities and the ability to manage a team efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials for highways projects
·Project Analysis: Work with Project Managers to discuss specifications and understand the requirements and potential challenges
·Collaboration: With internal teams, commercial department, clients and suppliers to meet project expectations
·Documentation: Keep documents in adherence to quality standards
·Bid Preparation: Assist in preparing bids and proposals and showcase the company's commitment to delivering an excellent service
 
Requirements:
·8-10 years proven experience of estimating within the civil engineering industry as a minimum
·Experience on site is highly desirable
·The ability to demonstrate highways sector knowledge, including drainage works, section 278s and other aspects of civil engineering
·Superb management and team leadership skills
·Commercial and CDM awareness
·Computer and software literacy
·Acute problem-solving abilities
·A qualification related to the field of construction
·CSCS Card
·Full UK Driving License
