Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services

Opportunity to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a robust Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) team expanding across the UK. The business is well-regarded for delivering innovative solutions in building services design and is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned electrical design engineer to take on a pivotal role within a growing M&E team. You will lead the design and development of electrical systems for diverse public sector projects, including education, residential, commercial, and healthcare. The position offers the chance to mentor junior engineers and play a key role in the company's project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the design and development of electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.
·Conduct calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
·Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
·Oversee site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality assurance.
·Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
Qualifications:
·A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
·Significant experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
·Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
·Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
·Effective communication and leadership abilities.
·Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
