Job description

Ecologist

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Ecologist to join their team in Bolton.

As an Ecologist, you will be responsible for conducting ecological surveys, analysing data, and developing management plans to protect and enhance the natural environment.

Responsibilities:
Conducting field surveys of flora, fauna, and habitats
Analysing survey data and producing reports and recommendations
Developing management plans for protected areas, including the design and implementation of restoration projects
Collaborating with other professionals, such as engineers, planners, and policy makers, to ensure ecological considerations are integrated into development plans.
Providing expert advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders.
Keeping up-to-date with developments in ecological science and legislation.

Qualifications:
A degree in ecology, biology, environmental science or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in conducting ecological surveys and developing management plans.
Familiarity with relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
