Location: Fully Remote or working out of the clients office in Surrey

We are currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy in their search for a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.
 
The Role
 
You will play a key role in delivering drainage and flood risk solutions across a range of infrastructure and development projects. Working autonomously, you will support design delivery, strategy development, and technical reporting.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
·Undertake drainage design for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
·Prepare and review Drainage Strategies
·Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in line with current regulations
·Develop surface water and foul water solutions in line with SuDS principles
·Use MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage for modelling and design
·Liaise with internal teams, clients, and approving authorities where required

Requirements
 
·Proven experience in a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer role
·Strong background in drainage design and strategy development
·Demonstrable experience producing Flood Risk Assessments
·Proficient in MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage
·Good understanding of UK drainage standards and planning requirements (e.g. SuDS, LLFA expectations)
·Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment or in the office if local
