Role Details:
My client is looking for a Technical Senior Ecologist to join their Biodiversity team on HS2, with prior experience undertaking field ecology surveys.
 
Your main responsibility will be helping manage the field ecologists, specifically assessing, reviewing and correcting the ecology surveys undertaken and ensuring the work carried out remains compliant with governing bodies and statutory undertakers, regularly interfacing with both.
 
You will also interface closely with the Biodiversity Policy Specialist to develop both ecology policies and specifications for HS2, as well as reviewing current policies.
 
Essential:
·Prior experience undertaking a senior ecology position on large infrastructure projects, managing the technical review of field ecology surveys.
·Prior experience engaging with government bodies and statutory undertakers on ecology projects.
·Previously undertaken ecological surveys.
 
Preferred:
·Background experience working on rail infrastructure client/consultancy-side.
