Security Advisor
Our client is a large Power company, that works across vast areas of Scotland on the transmission, distribution, and connection of UK Power. They work to get traditional and green energy to people's homes and ensure the successful running of this process. They are a great employer and are currently recruiting in the Security Division of their business.
The client is looking for a Security Advisor for a contract role in the Glasgow area with national travel. They will be supporting the security risk assessment and planning for sites across the UK. The role will include conducting investigations, reporting, and supporting an auditing regime.
Pay rates for this role will be between £450-£650 per day - UMB.
Roles
·Identify baseline-specific mitigations and threats by undertaking security risk assessments which will drive remediation investment plans in the future.
·Design and maintain, while analysing the risks for security procedures and policies to protect our client's assets. 
·Carry out site visits to provide assurances with fire and security awareness tracking of security infrastructure holdings.
·Relationship building with business contacts to promote 'Security Culture' enhancing our client's work stream.
·Identify and input training solutions for security awareness.
·Create relationships with national, and local security bodies and various Regulatory Bodies.
 
·Ensure all business areas have sufficient security plans and provisions for support and advice.
 
·Positive customer relationship management up to, and including, Director level.
 
·Strategic service specialists and partners relationships are proactively managed.
 
Requirements
·Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
·Ability to prove experience in writing reports and performing investigations.
·Excellent IT skills.
·Strong management, interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
·Risk-based security assessment and planning knowledge are required.
·Report writing and proven investigation skills.
·SC cleared by UK Government OR in a position to be.
·Intellect, experience, and gravitas to develop outstanding relations with internal and external entities including government departments such as CPNI and Police.
