Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing team focused on utilities detection. As a Highways Services Technician, your primary responsibility will be to locate underground pipes and cables, ensuring safe working conditions for our teams and preventing service strikes.
This role offers autonomy and will see you working primarily outdoors across various sites within the Surrey region. You will:
·Use Cable Avoidance Tools (CAT) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to identify and mark underground utilities.
·Produce site reports and contribute to generating detailed AutoCAD surveys (PAS 128) in the future.
·Play a key role in shaping the processes and procedures of a new, expanding team.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
·Experience with AutoCAD, with a background in surveying or civil engineering (HNC is a bonus).
·A full, clean UK driving license and the ability to drive a van.
·The physical capability to work outdoors and carry equipment.
·IT skills and an interest in new technology to streamline processes.
·A strong understanding of on-site health and safety protocols.
